Quit Smoking – Declare Your Independence from Nicotine Addiction

In the truest sense, freedom cannot be bestowed; it must be achieved. ~Franklin D. Roosevelt

Four days from now the US of A will be celebrating once again its Independence Day or commonly known as 4th of July. Aside from enjoying this holiday with fireworks, parades, fairs, picnics, parties and barbecues, this day holds a very important event in the history of this nation where it declared its independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain in the year 1776.

Independence or liberation means freedom and we all know that FREEDOM is priceless. It does not only apply to a certain country or place but it also applies to anything and everyone else including those who smoke like you to be free from slavery. Although freedom is considered priceless, the process of acquiring it has its cost and if you really want to earn your freedom, you have to do the right thing in order to obtain it.

When Will You Acquire Your Independence

No one was born a slave, no one was born in cuffs and chains and absolutely, no one was born a nicotine addict. You were born a freeman not an addict to nicotine. But because of curiosity, peer pressure, marketing influence or whatever reasons why you were hooked to this addiction and habit, you became a slave. You life has been dictated by some substance that gives you emotional malady, panic attacks, uncontrollable urge to spend and borrow money and other bad things that is making you an outcast to the society.

If you want to be the hero of your own life, fight for your independence and then do everything to be free from the slavery of nicotine. Set your own Independence Day, choose your important quit date and start preparing yourself. And when that day comes, go to war and win the battle against smoking. If you lose, then stand up, strengthen your weakness and do it again until your succeed and win your own Independence Day. In my experience, it took me 3 – 4 months before I tasted my victory and rejoiced my very own 4th of July.

Know How to Stop Smoking and Quit

There are no secrets in quitting smoking easily. It’s not difficult nor is it hard. It’s only your addicted mind that’s making it difficult for you and if you could reverse that, then things will work out favorably for you. Keep in mind that man has died and sacrificed almost everything just to attain freedom. But then again only those who really desires this very very badly will eventually succeed in obtaining it. And this goes the same way with smoking; you have to strengthen your desire, you must want to become a non-smoker so badly that no one could ever get on your way.

The basic thing you have to do is to strengthen your desire and determination. You have to maintain a positive mind, you have to accept that smoking is doing nothing good to your life and you have to focus your energies in becoming a non-smoker once again. Once you have done this, trust me, you will quit easily. But if you are allowing a tug-of-war to take place inside your mind every now and then and you can’t accept the reality that nicotine is doing bad things in your life, then quitting will become very difficult.

Whatever country you may be right now, no matter what is status or your citizenship; you have the right to be free. So decide today, commit yourself, stop smoking and be free once and for all!

Happy 4th of July to everyone.
