Smoking Temptation Study – University of Pennsylvania

Hello everyone, this short post was contributed by Caroline Haimm a research assistant at the University of Pennsylvania. They are conducting a study on how smoking temptation changes over time and are looking for participants. If you have the time kindly check out their survey. Hopefully this activity will supplement your desire in becoming a (or maintaining to be a) non-smoker permanently.

The University of Pennsylvania is seeking volunteers for a study about making important lifestyle changes. To be eligible, you must be over 18. You must also be in the process of giving up smoking or have recently quit. The study will involve completing an online survey (less than 10 minutes long) and responding to two short text messages a day for two weeks (by cell phone). You will receive feedback about how you respond to temptation, as well as how the average participant responds to temptation.<br />

Goodluck to your research Caroline – just send us the results once everything is done and I’m pretty sure it will help other smokers to quit smoking for good.

If you have any interesting story or any article geared in stopping nicotine addiction please read our submission guidelines if you want to share them, thank you.

Very interesting survey. I’ve tried to quit smoking myself several times but i allways fall back into the same pattern. I’m going to participate for sure!
